Pretty Plastic façade tiles integrated into the modular houses by MOOS

Pretty Plastic's façade tiles have found a beautiful place on the relocatable test home of in the Middle Of Our Street (MOOS) in Amsterdam-Oost. MOOS develops and realizes modular and demountable homes based on a fully circular principle, where the lifespan of homes is more than 50 years! MOOS thus offers a realistic solution to address the housing shortage in a responsible, affordable and scalable way.

When manufacturing the modules, MOOS makes use of residual flows as much as possible in addition to bio-based materials. Examples include concrete floors and parts of the façade from demolition. The façade tiles from Pretty Plastic fit seamlessly into this concept: they are made of 100% recycled PVC derived from construction waste, are detachable and can be reused. This pilot scheme shows how modular housing construction can not only be realized sustainably but, with the application of Pretty Plastic tiles for example, also contributes to beautiful and varied living environments.
