FIRST ONE

THE TILE THAT STARTED IT ALL

  • The First One marks the beginning of the Pretty Plastic story. Originally designed for the award-winning People’s Pavilion in Eindhoven, this diamond-shaped tile is a pioneer in both design and sustainability. Inspired by classic façade tiles, it brings a familiar, timeless appearance while using 100% recycled PVC from window frames, gutters, and other construction waste – making it a truly circular building material.

Its unique diamond shape and overlapping installation method create a seamless surface with a lively line pattern that makes every façade or roof distinctive. Easily mounted on a wooden substructure, higher rows overlap the lower ones, ensuring excellent weather protection and a strong visual rhythm.

From small-scale projects such as a residential house in Belgium to impressive applications like the Olympic pool at De Tongelreep in Eindhoven – with as many as 30,800 tiles – the First One shows how sustainability and striking design can go hand in hand for both homes and large public buildings.

SECOND HIGH

INNOVATIVE DESIGN FOR CREATIVE APPLICATIONS

  • The Second High takes façade design to a new level. With its clever mounting system, this 30 × 30 cm square tile is ideal for prefabricated building systems as well as on-site installation. Each tile can be replaced individually, making this a practical, maintenance-friendly solution and supporting a long-lasting, sustainable façade.

Its unique faceted surface creates a beautiful shadow effect that changes with the light. Thanks to its rotational symmetry, architects can install the tiles horizontally or vertically, creating surprising patterns and endless design possibilities.

Suitable for applications up to a height of 45 metres (except in coastal areas), the Second High demonstrates its versatility. With a 30 × 30 cm grid, the tile can often be used without cutting, ensuring efficient and tidy installation. In 2025, the first building featuring this innovative design will be completed, giving architects and clients the opportunity to see how sustainability and striking design come together in practice – perfect for prefabricated and modular building systems or projects where flexibility and creativity are key.

BASIC THIRD

AFFORDABLE, VERSATILE, AND CUSTOMISABLE

  • The Basic Third combines affordability with versatility and a modern design. Measuring 30 × 50 cm and requiring fewer than seven tiles per square metre, it offers an attractive price per square metre. Its smart design allows each tile to be fixed with just one screw, ensuring quick and easy installation – perfect for large façades and roofs.

Its front surface features three vertical relief bands that add elegance and rhythm, giving any façade a distinctive and dynamic look. The tiles can be installed stacked or staggered, and the overlap between rows can range from 30 to 50 cm, offering great freedom in façade design.

For larger projects, Pretty Plastic offers the option to create a unique relief pattern, designed by the architect or together with the Pretty Plastic design team. This makes the Basic Third not only a functional choice but also a personal expression – ideal for projects with varying façade heights that seek a combination of affordability, customisation, and aesthetics, and for architects who want to combine sustainability with design.
