PRETTY PLASTIC AND MODULE CARRÉ JOIN FORCES TO BRING CIRCULAR ROOFING AND FAÇADES TO FRANCE

Amsterdam / Paris, May 2026 - France marks the next step in circular construction for Pretty Plastic. Through a new strategic partnership with French building materials specialist Module Carré, the Dutch producer of circular façade and roofing tiles is officially expanding its presence in the French market.

Both companies share a strong belief that sustainable architecture should be both beautiful and practical. While Pretty Plastic transforms post-consumer PVC waste into fully certified façade and roofing tiles, Module Carré has built its reputation by introducing innovative and responsible building materials to architects, developers and contractors across France.

This collaboration combines Dutch circular design innovation with French market expertise, creating a strong foundation for future projects where waste is transformed into architecture.

A STRATEGIC STEP INTO FRANCE

As part of this partnership, Pretty Plastic is also launching its new French-language website, making it easier for French architects, developers and specifiers to discover the possibilities of circular façade and roofing materials made from 100% recycled PVC. The new platform supports local market growth and reflects the increasing demand for sustainable, design-led materials that meet both environmental and architectural ambitions.

“Across Europe, we see the same shift: architects and developers want materials that contribute to both sustainability goals and strong design identity. France is a natural next step for us. With Module Carré, we have found a partner that understands both the technical and architectural value of circular building materials.”

Hajo Reinders, Managing Director and Partner at Pretty Plastic

A SHARED VISION FOR THE FRENCH MARKET

For Module Carré, the collaboration with Pretty Plastic represents a natural extension of its mission to bring innovative and responsible construction solutions to the French market.

“We believe the future of construction lies in materials that combine technical performance, aesthetic quality and genuine environmental impact. Pretty Plastic fits perfectly within that vision. This partnership allows us to offer architects in France a solution that is both circular and architecturally expressive.”
– Nicolas Brutin, Managing Director at Module Carré

FIRST LANDMARK PROJECT: SIÈGE RENOUVELLÉE, TOURCOING

The potential of the French market becomes apparent with a landmark project already underway in Tourcoing, France: the new headquarters of Ville Renouvelée, part of the wider redevelopment of the Quadrilatère des Piscines.

For the first time, Pretty Plastic tiles will be applied on both roof and façade within one project - and in all twelve colours of the collection. The timber longère will be clad with 1,420 m² of Pretty Plastic First One tiles, transforming 34,648 kg of post-consumer PVC waste into architectural value.

Designed by BLAU Architecture Urbanisme, the façade concept connects the red brick identity of Northern France with the lighter tones of the Quadrilatère, while green window frames reference local architectural heritage. The project meets France’s latest sustainability and wellbeing standards, including RE2020 and Label Osmoz.

The project in Tourcoing is only the beginning. With a growing demand for circular construction across France, the partnership between Pretty Plastic and Module Carré aims to accelerate the adoption of recycled façade and roofing materials in both public and private developments.

By combining local expertise with proven international applications, both companies are working toward a built environment where waste is no longer hidden, but celebrated as part of the design.

ABOUT PRETTY PLASTIC – BUILDING FROM WASTE

Pretty Plastic designs and manufactures circular façade and roofing materials made from 100% recycled PVC, sourced from post-consumer construction waste such as old window frames and drainpipes. The Dutch company creates architecturally expressive products that make circular construction visible, tangible and inspiring.

Their fully certified and award-winning tiles are now featured in prominent architectural projects across Europe – demonstrating how aesthetics and sustainability can reinforce one another in the built environment.
