We’ll let our client, developer Arch House Companies, speak for themselves – we couldn’t have said it better:

WASTE UPCYCLED
1,680 KG

“The Sara is only the second project in the U.S. to feature these striking tiles. It’s been a privilege to work with Pretty Plastic and join the ranks of design-forward, eco-conscious projects across Europe in using their inspired material.

Pretty Plastic tiles are made from 100% recycled post-consumer PVC building waste (including window frames, gutters, and downspouts) upcycled into durable, beautiful façade cladding.

Winners of the DETAIL Prize, Dutch Design Award, and Frame Awards, these tiles aren’t just green; they’re gorgeous. For The Sara, they were the perfect choice to reinterpret Eagle Hill’s historic mansard roofs in a fresh, dimensional way.

Bringing this novel and unique façade material to Boston is another example of how Arch House Companies, alongside Zephyr Architects and Empire Builders Boston, is bringing intention, texture, and character back to new construction.”
